About this notice
DealData Analytics (DealData) is an analytics dashboard for business brokerages, at dealdata.pro. This notice says what DealData collects about the people who use it, why, who helps us run it, and how long we keep it.
DealData is used by organizations, such as a brokerage office. The organization decides who to invite and what deal data to put in; its owner manages the organization's members and settings.
Questions about this notice or your information: write to support@dealdata.pro.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, and your password if you set one. The password is stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in service; nobody at DealData can read it.
- Your membership: the organizations you belong to, your role in each, and, if your organization links you to one, the broker whose deals you see.
- Your organization's data: the listings, business and broker names, prices, fees, goals and settings that members import from a spreadsheet or a connected CRM, or type in. This belongs to your organization.
- Your preferences: for example your theme and color choice, the organization you last used and which tips you have seen.
- Reports you choose to send: your answers, a few technical details and, only if you add one, a screenshot. You see all of it before anything is sent; signed-in users can read more in the Help center's Data and privacy guide.
- Records of changes: when a membership or a success fee changes, DealData records who made the change and whose membership it was, with their email addresses, as part of the organization's history. When an organization is deleted, a record of who deleted it, with their email address, is kept as a compliance record.
- Helpful votes: when you answer Was this helpful? in the Help center, the count is kept without your name, and a record of your account and the time is kept for 24 hours to limit how many votes one account can make. Your browser also remembers which pages you answered.
- Registering with Google: the organization name and Google address you enter are kept until your organization exists. If the registration is never finished, they are deleted within about an hour of the 10-minute window, or, if Google already signed you in, with your unfinished account after a day. To limit abuse, a scrambled form of your network address, which cannot be turned back into it without our server key, is kept with them for the same time.
- Technical records: our hosting and sign-in providers keep short-lived logs, such as IP addresses, browser type and the time of a sign-in, to run and protect the service.
DealData uses no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools, and does not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Signing in with Google
Where DealData offers it, you can choose to sign in with your Google account instead of a password. When you do, Google asks you to agree, then shares with DealData your name, your email address and your profile picture, along with an identifier for your Google account. DealData asks for nothing else: no access to your Gmail, contacts, calendar, files or any other Google data, and never your Google password.
- Your email address is used to find your DealData account, or to set up the account you are registering or have been invited to. It is the address your organization sees for you.
- Your name and picture are kept with your sign-in record, as Google sent them. DealData does not show them or use them for anything else.
- Signing in with Google never creates an account on its own: you need an invitation from an organization, or to register a new organization.
- Information received from Google is used only to sign you in, and is not used for advertising, sold or shared with anyone other than the providers listed below. DealData's use of it follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
- You can remove DealData's access at any time from your Google Account's list of third-party connections (myaccount.google.com/connections). To keep signing in after that, first set a password with Forgot password? on the sign-in page.
How we use it
- To provide DealData: sign you in, show your organization's dashboard to its members according to their roles, and keep each organization's data apart from every other's.
- To send the emails the service needs: invitations, password resets, and notices such as a change of ownership.
- To keep DealData secure, for example by checking that a person, not a bot, is signing in or registering.
- To answer and fix the problems you report, and to improve DealData.
Who helps us run DealData
These providers process information for DealData only to provide their service:
- Supabase: the database, sign-in and file storage.
- Vercel: hosting of the website.
- Resend: delivery of DealData's emails.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: the check on sign-in and registration forms that you are not a bot.
- GitHub: the reports you send are kept as issues in DealData's private repository.
- Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google, as described above.
- Your CRM: only if your organization connects one, DealData reads your organization's deals from it with the access your organization grants.
How long we keep it
- Your account stays until you delete it from Settings, in Profile. Deleting it removes your sign-in record, including anything Google shared, and your memberships. The organization's records of past changes keep your email address where you made or received a change, for as long as the organization's history is kept.
- Records of changes stay with the organization while it exists. When it is deleted they are removed with its data, at the latest 365 days later; the record of who deleted it is kept.
- A screenshot sent with a report is deleted no more than 30 days after the report is sent, and sooner if your account or your organization is deleted. The report itself stays with the DealData team.
- When an organization is deleted, its data disappears from DealData at once. It may be retained for up to 365 days after deletion for recovery and compliance purposes, and is then removed.
- Technical logs are kept by our providers for a short time, according to their own policies.
Your choices
- You can see and change your email address and password in Settings, under Profile.
- Your organization's owner can download a copy of the organization's data and can delete the organization.
- You can delete your account yourself. An owner first hands the organization over to someone else, or deletes it.
- For anything else about your information, write to support@dealdata.pro. Signed-in users can also use Report a problem in the Help center, or ask the owner of their organization.
Security
Information travels encrypted between your browser and DealData, and is stored encrypted at rest. Each organization's data is visible only to its own members, according to their roles. Credentials for a connected CRM are stored encrypted.
